Marie-Anne is an exceptionnaly great female. A micron count of 18,1 at 1 year old, a very regular high frequency crimp all over, an incredible density and a large and solid frame. She's got everything you need for a high volume high quality fleece production!
Marie-Anne is a calm female that blends in perfectly in the herd and she is halter trained. Her dam, Shasta, is a gorgeous female who kept a micron count of 21.3 at 4 years old! She has a great milk production and perfect mothering abilities. We expect Marie-Anne to have those qualities we are all looking for in our reproductive females.
She's expecting her first cria in september 2010. She's bred to Jazz who, just like her, has the genetics to keep a low micron count. Jazz is a dark brown Super Sam grandson and has the absolute perfect phenotype. We believe that Marie-Anne will be able to throw incredibly nice quality color because her dam is fawn so she definetly has some color in her background.
